Hello isar-users,

We are now focusing on stretch+ (9.x) Debian releases as they provide
official cross-compilers. We plan to stop supporting jessie and earlier
releases in future versions of Isar.

Does anybody still use jessie or earlier Debian releases?

Kind regards,
Maxim.

Hi,

for me that would be fine. But i suggest gradually removing it. Go
ahead and remove it from CI. But the multiconfigs can be kept for a
while, maybe we can include a bbwarn("deprecated") in them.
And support code should also be kept for some time i.e.
isar-bootstrap.bb isar-apt-fallback.conf

Good idea! Supporting those old distros causes work that might not be
required.

Henning

I would be in favor of it. That would also deprecate/remove raspberry
pi support. I would be in favor of that as well. Since it only supports
the old raspberry pi anyway.
Since nobody cared to update that to 2 or 3 I don't think that there is
much interest in that from the wider community.

Cheers,
Claudius
