agreed. should we align with OE and have tmp/work/${DISTRO_ARCH}-${DISTRO}, 
tmp/work/all-${DISTRO} and tmp/work/${MACHINE}-${DISTRO} instead of having 
everything land under tmp/work/${DISTRO}-${DISTRO_ARCH}/?
