Just a heads-up: On the bitbake-devel ML [1] there is currently a
patch that bumps the minimum required Python from 3.6 to 3.8. At some
point we'll possibly see things break if we ignore/change that check.

Once we drop support for Stretch it doesn't look so bad, but even with
Buster (which has Python 3.7.3) we will again be behind bitbake's
requirement soon.
