IIUC, there is no easy way in stock Isar to achieve that. In fact, Debian is exactly about cleanly installing all dependencies, introducing apt over dpkg. Technically, skipping a dep might be achievable via dpkg manipulations, but I wonder why you'd like to do that. What is the "main" package and the one you'd like to skip? The clean way of doing that would be to rebuild mainpackage from sources without the dependency. With kind regards, Baurzhan
