I think I now know what you meat by 'IMAGE_FEATURES_isar-image-base = 
""'. You meant adding that to a configuration file to overwrite certain 
variables from outside the recipe. Yes that could be possible. I don't 
do that very much, I rather write bbappends for those cases.
